Chiiild for Elle Canada
This is a profile I wrote and shot with Yoni Ayal during his homecoming show in Montreal in 2023. Yoni Ayal, a Montreal-born musician, co-founded the experimental soul project Chiiild with producer Pierre-Luc Rioux in 2017. Their music blends soul with psychedelic elements, featuring Ayal's hopeful vocals. Chiiild's debut album, "Hope for Sale," exudes optimism and has earned them recognition, including a Juno nomination. Ayal emphasizes the importance of surrounding oneself with the right people to shape one's creative journey.
